  1. I am a consistent mid 80's golfer, and Im in the market for a new set of irons. I was looking at a used set of the 695cb irons or possibly the AP2 irons. But I'm not sure if I'm ready to make the jump to forged irons, My question is how forgiving these sets are and If I should just stick with a set that has a larger cavity back.

"forged" is a process for making irons, there is no skill level jump required.

The number 1 forgiveness factor is low center of gravity.

Offset is the way to match your swing, which also DOES NOT require a special skill level.

AP 2 is so much more forgiving than the CB's -- easier up in the air, feels softer ... get fitted outdoors with launch monitor and be sure to check the long game fitting - long irons, hybrids....
