Have been playing miz MP30's with TT Dynamic gold shafts for 5-6 years.Wanted to look at a more forgiving club and possibly lighter shafts. Went to the Titleist fitting center and ended up changing the driver! to a 910d3 with ilima 60 diamana shaft. Suggested for irons a higher launch was needed. Tried the Nippon ns pro 105 and Dynamic Gold HL. Unfortuately, all was done on mats and I feel it makes it hard to get a true feel. The Nippon was suggested as 1st choice, but after borrowing both from a local golf shop the Dg HL felt more stable and consistent through the swing, and a bit higher launch on the grass. Now without a monitor it's hard to tell what distance change is...looking at the true temper site, the high launch is not even listed. The shafts that fall into to one's for me to look at...and while probably too much of a selection are...dg xp, gs95,dynalite gold xp, dynalite gold sl...all are lighter then my current with mid to high launch characteristics....swing speed, 95, age 54, 12 hcp....suggestions?

I would give the Project X 5.0 a try. I have them in my AP2's and love them. I play to a 15.

    Thx Larry,

Could not try the projects so I went with the gold high launch and love them....one more question...

I have the Titleist D3 and was fitted at a titleist fitting centre here in Toronto for the Mitsubishi Diamana Imila 60 reg shaft....it works very nicely, but was a 300 plus up charge shaft...I want to buy a 910f fairway wood 15 deg and am trying to figure out the most comparable shaft, with out an up charge....Am I correct in thinking the Titleist version Diamana Imila 61 would be very close? thx Greg

My fitter said the Titleist version Kaili is comparable to the real deal ilima; you can also tip the made for Ilima 1 inch and it would have similar characterisitcs which is what my fitter did.

However another pro told me it doesn't matter how much you tip the Ilima, it will fly high so he recommended the Titleist Kaili.

    Thx Greg F,

I will assume then you are refering to the Mitsubishi Rayon Diamana Kai'li 75 for Titleist, which on this titleist site is the blue std

    shaft,

TT Lite XL is a good bang for the buck ($8 per shaft for taper tip).  Less weight in the butt end.

Get fitted and find the best shaft for your swing ....

Well I was fitted for the driver and irons, but at 100 bucks a pop for each for  fitting it's hard to justify another 100 just for one fairway wood. So if I ask the question another way. What Diamana shaft that is a non up charge for the 910f, that would most closely match the characteristics of the Mitsubishi Diamana Ilima 60?

Greg, find a titleist fitter that also has access to the miz shaft fitting technology.  While it is miz, their setup will take into consideration several factors in regards to your swing.  It is called the shaft optimizer and most of the shafts that they recommend are available through titleist.  So i would get on that then got to the titleist fitting cart and try the shafts that they recommend.  It not an exact science but try a couple and look at your launch angle, spin rate, angle of descent, distance carried, and most importantly.....dispersion.

    thx Barry,

Actually this post is a bit old...did try the Miz optimizer and did go to the Titleist fitting center. Got the  AP2 with dynamic gold HL

shafts and just ordered a 910F with the comp shaft to my driver so I am now set...fired a smooth 78 yesterday so I am loving the irons, D3 and will be looking forward to putting the 910f in the bag as well...next stop, a fitting for the Volkey SM4 wedges...

The Dynamic Gold HL is the bomb.  It is on my AP1s (R300).
