I believe golf ball is probably the less regarded piece of golf technology in our bags and very few people really understand the impact it has on our golf lifes.

We are all excited about the new 460 lightweight mega long driver, the new buttery feeling german steel irons or the new hole-it-wherever-you-are Scotty putter, but what very few people realizes is that the improvements in the golf ball are the main responsables for longer and straighter drives and better distance control.

I remember my first times using a Prov1 ball. Something inside me said "Hey man, you're a pro!". I used a Prov1x the first time I broke par and the first time I outdrove my club pro.

So thank you guys, for enabling golfers of any skill level to feel like a pro, play like a pro, think like a pro.

I wish more players had that same mentality;many golfers see new clubs and club technology as sexy, unfortunately most golfers see golf balls as utilitarian....

I have to agree also. I have tried different clubs and can adjust after a few swings, but I have tried many balls and none can give the feel or confidence or performance that the pro v series gives. I thank you also titleist for not only giving us a superior product but for also caring for the average golfer as much as the pro.

The golf ball for a lot of players wont make a big difference,, I see golfers playing with range balls. The serious golfer does find his preference. I see low and high handicappers  with the competitions and with Titleist. I have taken a dozen new balls from different brands and gone to the course to an empty hole. I start from the tee and hit usually 2 each and then chase them down, i record what the gps tells me for each ball. i pick the best of all shots and then drop them all and hit into the green. I rate each shot as to ball flight, quality of shot, the spin or just a bad swing.  I have found I like the overall performance of the PRO v,, not always the longest, not always the most spin. But, a good steady performance. But think about it,, the USGA does regulate distance of golfballs. Why do you find illegal balls? So distance is controlled for a ball to be legal. Now that does not go to say that i cannot bend my or have my clubs made so that my irons are set up several degrees strong and get more distance. Some of you may not remember but a lot of clubs are made now and inch longer than they were several years ago. There are just a lot of factors that that control distance and spin, not just the ball, Look at your swing speed, swing arc, swing path, launch angle, and lots more. I can put ten drivers . all the same loft and shaft stiffness, and you will hit each different and you may hit one further than i and i might hit a different one further. i am not trying to be negative but take all the factors in.
