    What ball is the Test Ball??? I really liked that ball. Iwould like to know if it is the new Pro v 1 or 1x. I haven't heard anything yet of what the test ball is... I know others out there who got to try them would like to know also... Hey Titleist Please let us know at least when this ball may be coming out. Thank You :)

    Hi Bob,

    Great question. The golf balls that were sent out last year for the Team Titleist product test panel were part of our ongoing R&D process and were just test golf balls.  As you can imagine, we are constantly developing prototype golf balls and through our extensive evaluation and validation process we review the feedback we receive to continue along the R&D path.

    I was a lucky receipient of the "test balls" last fall.  I did notice a difference from prior generations, but have also played one again this year against the new models and did NOT see as much of a difference.  I would like to say they were closer to a ProV1 than a ProV1x, but as Mike pointed out, too hard to tell overall.

     

    Either way I enjoyed the experience and it made for some great conversations on the patio after the round.

    Justin, you can't actually sign up for receiving test balls. I beleive I was told it is totally random.

    i also would like to know, best feeling ball ive ever played. i asked titleist a few months ago but they had same response. it feels similar to the new pro v1 though as far as im concerned.
