I wanted to know that if know if I ordered 712 MB's with 1° stronger lofts if this would impact the bounce in a negative way. I currently play mp-68's and see that the mp-69 specs are 1 degree stronger through out standard. My dream bag makeup would end with PW at 46°, and put sm4's at 50°, 54° and 58°. I pick my irons clean without taking divots. I have a newport 2 and am LH. I appreciate Titleist for offering left-handers more choices than any other company. All my woods are 910 and could not be happier. So would I be better off bending the pokeys 1° weaker, or the 712's 1° stronger. Any input is welcome and appreciated.

1 degree is no problem and you may consider the SM4 Vokey 46!

Thanks for the reply Ryan. I never hit a 46° anything other then a PW. Didn't think I would consider it. But if the SM4 offers a 46° for left handers I may consider.

Stephen, I am interested to know why you want stronger lofts? is this to gain more distance with each club? is it to get the distance more consistant between clubs? a lot of people go this way and add wedges to cover the short game. however, focussing in improving GIR hit reduce the need for so many wedge options. the more wedges the more complications. a lot of tour players only bag 2 wedges apart from the PW? I have just ,3 months ago, done a complete fitting session/process with a top club fitter and a teaching pro. it took me some 2 weeks but the end result is that my irons are a lot more consistant given slightly more loft, 48 degree PW with 4 degree gaps between clubs to 3 iron or I swop the 3 iron with a 21 degree hybrid. 53 degree gap and 57degree sand/lob wedge. the top end of my set is very well covered and my wedge system and game options have been simplified and a lot more effective. I have dropped my handicap with 2 strokes in 2 months. I now understand where each club fits and how to use each club effectively. I use more loft when I chip around the greens and my ability to up and down has improved dramtically> This is my experiance.

Thanks for the reply Jake. I simply want a 4° gap between all my clubs. Distance does not matter to me as much as club selection. Here is my bag. 9.5° 910D3, 15° 910F, 17° 91H set to 18.5°, 22° 4 iron, 26° 5, 30° 6, 34° 7, 38° 8, 42° 9, 46° PW, 52° GAP bent to 50° to reduce bounce, 56/13 bent to 54, and 60 bent to 58°. Half of the greens I hit to are elevated and slope front to back with blind approach shots. I use the short irons and wedges to hold the greens, and find this system completely justified and overly complicated. I have mizuno wedges and they only offer them in 52, 56, 60 for me. I'm left handed and get very few options, so working with what I have I prefer a 3 wedge approach and prefer to reduce bounce on the clubs I have.

I meant that ut was not overly complicated.
