Riley, They would be a good start along with the AP2 during the fitting process.

i also like a high ball flight so would the ap2 or CB have a higher ball flight?
Although I'm not sure about the 712 AP2, the 710 AP2 definitely flies higher than the 710 CB!

I agree with Ryan, the AP2 will fly higher than the CB iron.
You really need to locate your nearest Certified Titleist Fitter and get a thorough fitting. It is hard to know what you mean by a "better iron". "Better" is such a subjective term. I would suggest that during your fitting you forget all of your ideas as to which club you "want" to play and let the fitter set you up with the club that best suits your game / swing. Being open to the fitter makes the process much easier and you end up with equipment that will allow you to play your best, not just what is believed to be "better".
Good Luck

As many will suggest, you should try both the AP2 and CB.
For me, after playing High School and College golf my game is not what it use to be after finding a job and not having many hours to spend practicing my game. I hit both and the Ap2's just felt better to me with my not so perfect ball striking now a days. I have always had a issue keeping the ball flight down but did not notice much difference between the 2 with DG X100 shafts.
