i am a high school golfer who loves titleist equipment. ive been playing for about 3 years and shoot mid to low 70's, my family is not in the best of finacial places so i dont get to spend big money on equipment, let along tournaments. ive won 1 tournament ( i know thats not alot) but im just gettin my tournament carrer started. if you could somehow find a way to sponsor me, or even just discounts on equipment, it would be much appreciated. all i really would need now is a driver, and a 60 degree wedge. i know that is alot to ask for, but, i thought id give it a try. if you guys decide to reply, thank you, and if not, i understand. by the way, i love everything you guys do.

    Lance,

Thank you for your support!  Acushnet Company feels strongly that it is important to stay in contact on a promotional level with the next generation worldwide exempt player. We are, however, limited in the number of players we can assist with product support, due to the overwhelming number of requests and budgetary constraints.

We recommend that all interested players formulate a detailed playing resume (including any/all amateur events in addition to your results as a professional) and tournament schedule through the end of the current season. Any PROFESSIONAL golfer proposing a promotional relationship with Acushnet Company would need to forward that information to our Tour Department (333 Bridge Street, Fairhaven, MA 02719). We will respond via US Mail to all resumes we receive. Our response will advise you of the programs for which you qualify. In some cases there is an option to utilize a personal use discount.

Make sure to ask your Coach about possible discounts on high school merchandise.  We do offer a high school purchase program that our authorized accounts may take advantage of at discount prices. This program applies to golf balls, golf bags, and headwear. Unfortunately, we do not sell directly to coaches or players, as we remain loyal to our authorized Golf Shops. To inquire about this program, please visit your local authorized Titleist Golf Shop. This can be any golf course or off-course retailer that sells our products.

I am a ninth grade golfer and have a 3 handicap from around 6500 yards.  I frequently compete in junior tournaments anywhere from a state level to world wide tournaments, and I just got the MVP award for my highschool golf team and an all conference award. We finished 6th in the state championship  I am a huge fan of Titleist wedges, scotty cameron, golf balls, apparel etc. and it would be very beneficial to my success if I had any sort of sponsorship by yall because I usually do not get the advantage of having great equipment.  I would love to intertwine with Titleist by always wearing Titleist and playing its equipment.  I guarantee that by winning tournaments with Titleist I will attract my many competitiors and peers into using yalls equipment.  It would be great to get a reply and/or advice on what I can be doing in the next year or so to possibly gain some recognition from Titleist reps, but I understand that yall are very busy and may not have the time.

    Thanks, Wilson Simmons

    Wilson,

Great to hear we have your support and congratulations on your successful season!

Currently, Acushnet Company provides product support to exempt players on several worldwide professional tours, including the US PGA TOUR, PGA EUROPEAN TOUR, LPGA TOUR, CHAMPIONS TOUR, NATIONWIDE TOUR, AUSTRALASIAN TOUR, ASIAN TOUR, JAPAN GOLF TOUR, CANADIAN PGA TOUR, SOUTH AFRICAN PGA TOUR, JAPAN PGA SENIOR TOUR and EUROPEAN WOMEN'S TOUR. For these tours we provide golf balls, golf shoes and golf gloves to over 2,000 professionals worldwide. Acushnet Company feels strongly that it is important to stay in contact on a promotional level with the next generation worldwide exempt player. We are, however, limited in the number of players we can assist with product support, due to the overwhelming number of requests and budgetary constraints.

To maintain open-ended fairness to the identification process, we review the current season-ending and/or year-end money lists from all of the established mini-tours and secondary tours worldwide which predominantly feature 3 or 4 day events. For these tours, we provide product support (golf balls, gloves, headwear) to the leading money winners.

5. Sir,
I am currently working at a golf course inside the pro shop and possibly have an interview for assistant professional at Hanover Country Club and I also have passed my playing ability test. I am wondering if there is any opportunity to be sponsored by Titleist. I have been playing all Titleist clubs for the past 5 years and I have a few hole in ones with Titleist balls. I am also aware that sponsorships are hard to come by but currently i have no money to spend on clubs because of all my finances for living. I used to play Division II golf at Spring Hill College in Mobile, Al. I can send a resume of my past wins but I really want to be a head pro or play on a mini tour to build up my game. Any advice would also be appreciated.

Matthew, I would follow Cameron's recommendations and contact Titleist in writing as outlined above. Best of luck in your choice of becoming a golf pro, whether it be on the muni tour or working as a head pro. I have a lot of friends who are in the business and it is a long hard road, but if it is truly what you want, I encourage you to go for it. They love it. Cheers.
