  1. How do I verify if it is real? I've just bought a new SC Newport 2 and I've registered the putter under my profile, but the section says registering the club does not confirm its authenticity. I suppose if I am able to register it, it should be real? I've read on other forums that if it's not a valid serial number, I won't be able to register it at all? I've cross-checked most of the physical tell-tale, and so far everything match up except for a couple vague ones. Just want some reassurance since I've spent so much on it. :)

  2. Don't want to worry you but a serial number could be legit but the club not. They can take it from another putter. I would take it to an authorized dealer and if not legit ask for a refund. Good luck.
  3. I bought it from tgw.com @ $300. The only thing that I found weird was some forum I read people have said that the studio selections do not come in a plastic bag, but mine does.

There are a number of resources available to you. If you have another Cameron in the same putter series to compare, you'll probably be able to confirm your putter's authenticity. Counterfeits always have noticeable things that give them away. Secondly, Titleist and Scotty Cameron both have excellent customer service teams (numbers posted on their respective websites) that can run your serial number and tell you the exact specs it should have as well as answer other questions. Lastly, the amazing number of photos and descriptions of Camerons available online at Club Cameron and also on eBay listings for your putter. A little research in these areas will give you an immense amount of information!
