I'm looking to paintfill the tops of my ap2 irons. The original black paintfill is half gone on some of the irons. Any suggestions on how to go about doing this? Is nail polish my best bet?

I would try acrylic paint (sorry if there is a typo), that will probably work the best and last the longest.

I just got done doing the paintfill on my Scotty Cameron Newport and I used small jars of Enamel from a hobby store. It worked great. They also sell really small brushes that make it very easy to get in the small spaces. Also get some Enamel thinner or nail polish remover(should be right with the paints) and you can just wipe the excess paint off with a paper towel with a little of that on it. I have been thinking of doing the #'s on my DCI 962s.

Acrylic paint and Acetone to remove any of the remaining paint. I did my own custom paint job on my vokey wedges and they turned out really well. I will say this. If you do need to remove existing paint, you will need more acetone than you think. That stuff evaporates very fast. Also, get a dentist tool with a very fine pick in order to pick out any remaining paint. And, a very fine paint brush.
Clean and remove all the existing paint
Fill with paint (dont be afraid to be put on a good amount. The acetone will take off any remaining paint)
GENTLY wipe away excess paint with acetone using a circular motion ( I used a folded up paper towel with the acetone)
Let dry ( I finished the paint off with clear acrylic paint)
Hope this helps

I did this on my Vokey wedge with red spray paint and just wiped the excess off with a rag. It worked great and has stayed through the rain and held up when brushed!
