I am a highly skilled amateur and recently put a SM4 60-4 lob wedge in my bag. I like the solid contact I make with the turf on fairway shots, but I sometimes find that when I open the face to hit bunker shots (which is necessary from our relatively firm sanded, deep bunkers that are close to the green), the ball comes out a bit hot. I'm wondering if I need some more relief in the heel and sole, while maintaining enough width to be stable through the turf without digging too much. FWIW- I tend to play the ball back in my stance, although I don't really take too deep a divot.
Is this the best model or is there one more suited to my style or is some additional grinding in order?
