Hi Titleist,
Is it only the original PX Tour Issue Blue that is stock shaft for Titleist?
With all the new shafts from PX you should reconsider more choices. Like the PX Black and new PXv Tour line?
Any news?

The original Project X Tour issue shaft is the only one currently on our custom list. The Project X Black 70 has passed our testing protocol in 6.0, 6.5 and 7.0 flexes and can be ordered as an "off menu" shaft. As always, off menu shafts cannot be cancelled or changed once they have been placed.
The PXv shaft is a lighterweight Project X and has not yet been submitted for shaft testing.
Our custom shaft list is the largest in the industry and to offer every shaft would be difficult. One of the factors in bringing in and testing new shafts for our matrix is play on Tour or universal requests by our fitters across the country. At the Farmers Insurance Open, we did not have any Titleist players in a Project X shaft.
Here is the Wood shaft count for the Farmers.
Mitsubishi - 94 shafts
Aldila 89 shafts
Fujikura 81 shafts
USTM 49 shafts
Matrix 46 shafts
Graphite Design 44 shafts
Hi Chris, I don't know that I would conclude that PX wood shafts are performing badly as they did have 33 shafts in play - just not as many as Mitsubishi who had 94 shafts in play. Almost all of the Mitsubishi shafts in play were Diamanas.
Cathi,
Ahh sorry for not paying attention. Of course the Mitsubishi where Diamanas. Sorry!
94 is a lot, amazing, but 33 shafts from PX was it mostly in drivers?
Thank you very much!

Cathi, So from this I can conclude that the Project X shaft is performing badly compared to the other shafts you are writing here, since no Titleist player were in a Project X shaft at all? Or can you explain why? How come there isn't one single Titleist player using a Diamana shaft? You are offering Diamana shafts as a stock-option in your new 913-line, so I don't think that Diamana is a bad performing shaft, but not popular on the Tour I guess?
Not true. Diamana is made by Mitsubishi-Rayon Corp., and as Cathi noted... 94 Titlest pros used Mitsubishi.
Also, just because there were no tour professionals using a particular brand of shaft (at one tournament), doesn't make it a "bad" shaft (by any definition). In fact, if more gofers kept an open mind to play what works for them, rather than the pros, they may even shoot lower scores :)
Go get a proper Titleist fitting, and use whatever shaft gives YOU the best performance.

Is there anyway to see all the shafts on the "off menu" list? Gonna be ordering the 913fd and hd soon and was just curious what other shafts are available besides the custom list shafts on the site. Thanks!
Unfortunately, not. If there is a shaft that is not on our latest custom matrix, please call us at 1-888-TITLEIST http://media.titleist.com/images/titleist/pdfs/US/2013/sales/2013_Custom_Options_Book.pdf
