  1. hi im a 6handicap and 15yrs old. i and play on multiple junior tours and qualifiers. My clubs i play with right now are a Ap1(graphite) regular shafted club. My coach told me i needed new shafts so i was wondering what i should get AP2s stiff or just replace my shafts in my AP1.i hit my 7 iron 155. also what is the difference between the D3 and D2. what should i get if i hit my driver now 235 and what shafts should i get to hit it further.

    Hi Nicolas,

I am a 6 handicap as well and i also play the ap1s with steel shafts. I hit  my 7 iron at 160 and I use regular flex. I think you should stay with the ap1s and just change the shaft and i think you should try out the shafts weight and flexes and then  make a decision. As for the driver, I used to have a regular flex and i hit it about 250 and i recently switched to a stiff flex Titleist D2 and i started hitting the ball about 280. I still think you should ask around for more advise and try out all the different clubs. Good luck and I hope you make a good decision.

Get fitted! That's the best way to answer all of those questions.  To get the most for your money I would just buy new irons because after it's all said and done your going to spend 400+ on new shafts and grips alone, so it would be better to get fitted and save yourself the hassle replacing the shafts.  The 913 D3 is 445cc which is a little smaller than the D2 which is 460cc.  You are able to work the ball a little more with the D3 while the D2 is more forgiving.  From the information you gave I'd say your best bet would be the 913 D2. Best of luck!

Don't worry about your distance at this point in time. When i was 15 I was lucky to hit the ball 240. Now I'm 19 and carry about 280 and total around 305 with roll. The AP1 is a more forgiving iron than the AP2. I play the AP2 a absolutely love them but that is simply a personal preference. If you hit your irons well then there is no reason to change to the AP2. If your looking to get them reshafted then I would go to your local golf shop or club and talk to the pro to see what they would suggest. The difference between the D2 and the D3 is that the D3 has a smaller head and puts less spin on the ball. The D3 is also meant to golfers who hook the ball because it provides relief from that. Again talk to your pro or somebody at your golf shop about the proper shaft. Good luck.

I would stick to the AP1s and get steel regular flex shafts put into them.

If i were you i would keep the Ap1s and just get steel regular flexed shafts

Hi Nicolas not to put anybody else here down or anything but I would have to say I can relate to you more than anybody else because I'm your age and have almost the exact same competitive golf career i guess you could call it haha. As you become a more experienced golfer you will probably want a more controllable iron so you can hit draws and fades with less effort. I would suggest skipping the AP2's and go right to the CB's but thats me. Try out both the AP2's and the CB's but the CB's are a cheaper option and a better option for the experienced player like yourself. And you should definitely change your driver shaft if you hit a 7 155 and a driver only 235 i hit my 7 about 170 and i have x stiff shafts and i hit my driver 280-290 and I have an xstiff shaft in that as well.
