Dr. K....obviously the Titleist has final say however speculating for a moment would be the following.  SM5's are on tour now with pro's.  Usually when this happens if it is not a fall release it becomes a spring release (after being featured at the PGA Show).  Thus, I would only speculate that March-May 2014 is a reasonable release date.  IMHO...

I love Titleist and I play with the ap2 714 and the Vokey wedge before the sm4, do you recommend getting the sm4 or sm5? Which one will have more spin? Is the chrome/silver wedge shiny on the sm5, because it is not on the sm4?

Really like the looks of these!  Might have to get some nice new wedges in the raw black this spring!!

Let's just hope this new black raw finish comes off as easy as the oil can finish. Maybe they should add another option being a raw finish. 

I agree with you on the raw finish.  I would love to see that as an option!

PGA golf show is in late January or early February.  like Chris said, I would expect a release after that.  from my past experiences, I would estimate an early to mid March time frame.

The season the serious affectionados look forward to are the news releases coming out of the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando on January 22-24.  Expecting at least the balls to be announce, and hopefully the SM5s.  Since there were no major Christmas clearances on the existing lines, no tea leaves to read in advance.

I was thinking the same thing with the lack of clearance prices.  I was keeping my eyes open for some good prices on SM4s, but so far they are still going for full price.  If I'm going to pay full price, I'm just going to wait for the SM5s.  Not like I'm playing much golf in the NorthEast anyway.

ironic.... sm4s on golfsmith dropped 20 dollars today. sign for the future? 

Really excited to try some different grinds.  Love the M grinds but I'm curious on the K Grind for my 60.
