Average Golfer Club Set Up

  1. I am a somewhat typical recreational golfer.  On most courses I find myself in the 85-93 range for score.  I'm late 30s in age, reasonably long hitter (Legit 26-280), a few too many penalty strokes (6-8 per round), a few flubber wedges from 130 on in, miss a few easy putts.

I think I know the answer but want to ask and am particularly interested in Titleist staff input.

Lessons are probably the best cure to improve my scoring; but does titleist view this golfer profile described above as someone who should seek out or be guided to a specific club set up and even golf ball?

I am about to at least replace my irons; maybe add to my 21* 910 hybrid and potentially replace my 907D2 driver.

My gut says a driver with significant loft, couple of hybrids, nothing stronger than a 5i, and sacrifice some greenside control for a ball that will be a little straighter off the tee.

Titleist has the reputation as a player's club but the latest offerings seem to increasingly adress the needs of a mid-handicapper.
