I was wondering if anyone at Titleist could answer a quick question.  I received my set of 710 MB Irons back in April and really love them.  I have always played blades (I had the 690 MB's and 680's in years past) and really love the heads on the 710 MB's.  I am thinking about re-ordering another 3-PW set of 710 MB's later this year and putting them up as a backup set once my current set begins to wear out.

My question is, are these now on backorder (I am a right ahnded golfer)?  If so, what is the lead time now (it took about 4 weeks to build my set).  Secondly, if I submit my current serial number through my retailer to the Titleist Custom Department, will that be suffiecient for them to use to build my second set as far as my club specs?  Do you keep those on file by serial number?  Or, should I resubmit those specs through my retailer to Titleist?

    Thanks for making great products!!

Thank you for being a Titleist supporter!  It's great to hear you are enjoying your clubs.

Your serial number is sufficient for your retailer to order a duplicate set of irons.  We should be good to go on RH MB iron heads in about two weeks, but it would depend on your shaft as we still have several that are backordered.  Once we are caught up, the custom build time will be 2-3 days.

    Thanks Cathi,

I would need the regular Dynamic Gold X100 shaft (not the Tour Issue version).  Are the X100's backordered?

The Dynamic Gold X100 shafts are not backordered so you should be good to go in about two weeks.

  5. I wish i had ordered mine when you did, My 710's were ordered right at 6 weeks ago and i still have nothing. same x100 shafts.

I think Titleist had a larger than expected demand for the MB irons and had to catch inventories up a little bit regarding the heads (Cathi, chime in if I am a little off base here).  From her comments above, they should be fully stocked on heads in a couple weeks and then from there, they can produce your custom set through the custom department fairly quickly and then ship.

When I ordered mine in mid March, True Temper was in the process of moving their manufacturing facility from the Memphis area to another plant.  So, at that time, Titleist had the X-100 shafts on backorder.  They did come in to Titleist around the first of April and then my set was completed quickly.  Trust me, the wait will be worth it.  This club has the softest feel of any Titleist blade I have used over the years.  Very similar to the 690 MB's with just a little shorter blade length.  That's why I am going to order a second set.  I have found that when they come out with a head that you like, get two sets if you can afford to do so and put the second set up for when the grooves wear out on the first.  I wish I had done that back in 2002 when they came out with the original 690 MB's.

Thanks, Jason!  You are right, we should be good to go in about 2 weeks.  Steve, can you email or call me and I can do some research on your order?
