The current Titleist line includes a wide array of multi-material clubheads, which require special consideration when cleaning.  None are supposed to be submerged, since water can infiltrate the clubhead.

Which current clubheads are NOT supposed to be submerged?

    915 driver

    915 fairway metal

    916 hybrid

    716 T-MB

    716 CM

Not sure about AP1s or AP2s...

    Are there others?

  2. Hi Wade,

We do not recommend submerging any of our club heads in water. The best practice for cleaning is using a softer brush, soap and water, and a cotton towel for drying.

None at all?  Interesting.  I've been known to give the 735 CMs a good soaking (and my Vokeys, too) every now and then but will be absolutely sure not to do that with the 716 T-MBs and MBs now in the bag.

Clubs generally stay spotless during play, so there's really nothing to clean afterwards.

Really good to know.  Thanks for the reply.

Some courses have the iron cleaners (like ankle high ball washers). I have used them a couple of times with my Vokeys. Are you recommending that I not use them for my AP-1s? I haven't yet but it would be good to know. Thanks.

  5. Parthur,

There is no issue in using the club cleaners you see on most driving ranges as long as the clubs are not submerged and left for an extended period of time.

    Hey Wade,

I just use an old tooth brush with warm soapy water resting on a towel for a quick and easy way to clean my grooves/clubs.

  7. Hi -Thanks for that I did not know not to submerge the clubs.

    Cheers
