  1. good day all, I have just purchased my first set of Titleist irons- AP1 716 5- PW and two Vokey 50 & 56 wedges. Then the rain and floods came to the north east of Scotland and my course has been closed the past two weeks due to excessive flooding, now the weather forecast is for snow and severe frost.........grrr.

Really looking forward to the better weather to get out on the course and smash the ProV1, I currently use XR driver and 3 wood and Cland launcher 3&4 hybrids, thinking on changing my whole bag to Titleist......any suggestions???

  2. I have also switched to AP1 716 from miz  , love them easily a club longer and so much more forgiving . Last year I got 915 driver , 3 wood and hybrid , really good I went to Titleist fitting centre at Kingsacre for both irons and woods which would highly recommend doing the fitters are different class

Any suggestions? Yes, GO TITLEIST all the way! You won't be sorry. I carry Titleist 915 driver, 915 fairway, 816 hybrid, 716 irons, 3 Vokeys and a Scotty. I primarily play the new AP2 716 irons in P-7i, after playing AP2 712 irons for 4 years. However, I now play an AP1 716 5i and 6 iron, fit with the same shafts as my AP2s. These AP1s are awesome. I can't remember ever hitting a 5i or 6i this well or this consistently. I sometimes consider adding an AP1 716 7 and 8 iron, but I love the various shaped shots I can more easily pull off with my AP2s. I have a much harder time bending shots with the AP1s. Sometimes they are TOO straight. If I had more room in my bag I would carry two 7 irons, an AP2 and an AP1. You made a smart choice with your new AP1s. Just swing through the ball and they will do all the work for you. Good luck with them. Hope the weather turns positive soon. I am sure you are getting extremely antsy.

Can't go wrong with a full bag of Titleist clubs once I was fitted and got my clubs in I have been able to lower my handicap greatly in part due to the tighter dispersion I get with my fitted clubs. But by all means if you want the best results see a certified fitter you will not be sorry.
