Sorry to hear that, contact your Titleist dealer they will make it right

That's not good, never seen that before, do you always make sure they are dry after cleaning and after playing on a wet day? I keep head covers on my irons but always make sure they are dry before doing so. If they are truly stainless this shouldn't happen, I would think Cathy would chime in here a give some type of recommendation. Hope it all gets taken care of. I had an issue last year and all I can say Titleist took care of it in a very timely manner, that's on reason I stay with them not to mention they make outstanding equipment.

I've been to golf Galaxy. They told me that they had to send the clubs in for a rep to look at also told me to contact them directly. So I did and same story send them back to Titleist and some one will look at them. is it's a 3-4 week turnaround or wait till the end of the season and problem is I'm registered for 3 events including teamtitleist at Pinehurst. so I guess I'm playing with rusty clubs this year: sucks when you drop $3000 on a set and it looks like a old ford bumper. @gregb @mlb12

Sorry to hear of your problem with the clubs. I do remember a post last year or perhaps the year prior, in which another TT member asked about cleaning their AP Irons and soaking them in hot, soapy water.

The reply from Titleist, if I remember correctly, was to not immerse the clubs in water as they are not "hermetically sealed" and rather, cleaning should be with a soft brush and damp cloth, then dried.

As a result of this, I do not ever immerse my clubs in water. Instead, I just use a wet cloth on the course and wipe the club head clean. If needed, I use a bristle brush to clean the grooves.

When I have to store my clubs for any length of time, I will sometimes give them a light spray of WD-40 which "lightly coats" them and helps disperse water.

I hope you find some useful tidbits in this.

If any company will inspect the clubs and try to make it right, Titleist is the one. The concierges have said in the past than none of the cavity backs with tungsten inserts (AP's and CB) should ever be immersed in water. That area can retain water after the bath. Only MBs could be and no deeper than well below the hosel.

How old are your clubs? I assume that in the pics that what you show is not dirt instead of rust. I am puzzled by why your clubs are so scratched up. Your AP1s shows a lot of scratches and swirl marks. Are you using steel wool pads or a steel brush to clean your clubs? I thought the entire club head was made from stainless steel but maybe not. If you are using a hard brush to clean then I can see that it might be to aggressive for the painted surface. This could lead to rusting of the clubhead if there are other non stainless steel components that makeup the clubhead. You could get a rust remover from Walmart like "CLR" to remove the rust and buy some enamel black paint from a hobby shop to repaint the inner surface with a fine hobby paint brush. Maybe your clubs are still under some warrenty which would be even better. Very interesting. Please let us know how this turns out for you.
