  1. I am looking into purchasing a new set of the AP2 irons but am not sure these are the correct model I should be looking into purchasing. I am currently playing with a set of 991 DCI that I purchased through my club 20+ years old. These clubs have been great but I do feel its time to try some new technology. The shafts are completely smooth and are stiff. I am a 7 handicap with a moderate to fast swing and prefer a high ball flight. Please advise on what irons you feel fit my game. Thank you

Take the time and find a Titleist fitter. Be sure you have the right equipment before you place the order. It is much easier to get it right up front than it is to fix it later!

Go to a Titleist Thursday fitting day to see if there is one in your area or to a fitter in you area and get properly fitted for a new set of irons. The technology has changed a lot in twenty years. The Titleist Thursday fittings are free and normally last about an hour and are worth the time. Check below under custom fitting, club fitting for a time and nearest location in your area. Let the professionals do what they do best and that is put you in the right Titleist equipment. Cheers, Chuck
  4. Go try them out and go through the fitting process. At 7 handicap I am assuming your ball striking is good but it also comes down to look and feel as well

You'll really need to consider the cast/forged differences. The DCI's were great clubs. I haven't even hit a cast club in 20 years, but test them out. I've heard the AP1's are excellent........Different feel going to the 2's, CB's, or MB's......

    Anthony,

The best way to determine which irons will fit your game is to get fit from a certified Titleist club fitter. These guys are amazing!

    Thanks,
    Ben
  8. The AP2's are a great set especially for someone that has your game. However when it come to shafts you may wish to be fit by a Titleist Fitter. I have a similar style of game to yours and I recently went with the Project X 6.0 shafts in order to generate a slightly higher launch than my old DG X100 Shafts...

    Hope it helps, Chris
  9. The ap2's are awesome I love mine I have them in an s300 dynamic gold shaft
  10. I think the ap2´s are the perfect mix between a players iron and forgiveness. It fits every player with a single handicap.
