Yes, assuming you are right handed and you are using the 816 shaft/adapter which came with your hybrid.
  3. Yes I am right handed. I got fitted at titelist Thursday and that was the setting the club fitter suggested. I just couldn't remember if the d1 setting was up or down. Thanks for clearing that up.

I have two 816 hybrids, and I know you can adjust the club head with they tool provided; however, I'm not aware of an adapter. What is it?

The "adapter" is the SureFit Hosel which allows you to adjust your club. It's easier to say Adapter rather than SureFit Hosel.

The adapter is what connects the head to the shaft. The tool should of came with a book that tells you what each setting equates too. Its pretty straight forward. If you don't have the book just do a google search and you can find a picture. Whenever you tighten one click will do!

The adapter is the hosel that connects the shaft to the club. It's called the sure fit adapter. Barry was just referencing it in case the op had changed to an after market adapter. Which is not suggested as it is always better to use genuine Titleist parts.

or that MDeMars had not switched to a 915 or 913 shaft/adapter, which some people do. Had he done that the adjustment would only be in .75 degree increments instead of 1 degree.

If you have any questions about adapter settings scroll down to "SureFit® Hosel Performance Fitting Guides" and go to the third and fourth page of the image at the bottom of the page.

Greg - the Alpha-numeric adjustments are on the adapter on the shaft end. The head only has the marking point. The H1/H2 settings adjust the loft/lie in whole degrees. All the other Titleist shafts adjust in 0.75 degree increments.
MD - the full table for the loft/lie settings from A1 to D4 can be found on this site, if you didn't get a document with your club. LH clubs use the same shaft but use a different table. My D4 is the same as the RH A1.

Thanks everyone for the adapter description. I have the tool and booklet provided, but thought the adapter might be something else.
