Best driver for a 15 handicap

    Looking to make the switch to all titleist. What would be recommended driver wise

    The best driver for a 15 is the 917D. It’s also the best driver for handicaps 0-100. Just get fit to find the style (D2 or D3), loft, shaft combo best suited for your swing and I bet you won’t be a 15 anymore.

    Ditto, go see a certified Titleist fitter. Everyone is different. The fitter will fix you up with the right head and shaft. Look for a Titleist Thursday in your area and best of all, the fittings are FREE. Can't beat that offer.

    The most forgiving will be the D2. With the weight and Surefit settings and numerous no upcharge shafts, a good fitter can put together the best combination on the D2 for your swing.

    The D2 is going to be your larger 460cc head with more forgiveness and the D3 is a smaller 440cc so you will be able to work it more if that is your playing style. I am a 20 handicap (I drive it pretty well) and have hit both the 917 D2 and D3. I prefer the D2 as i don't work the ball and love the extra forgivness. Although when I hit the D3 perfect it was one of the best feelings I've had with a driver in a while. Really can't go wrong with either if you get fit correctly.

    Hey Jon C, congrats on making the decision to go all Titleist. Smart move. As far as your driver goes, as long as it has Titleist on it, you Can't go wrong. Good Luck!

    The D2 would benefit you for forgiveness on mishits, the D3 might be ok if your swing is pure at impact. I will say getting fit by a professional fitter would be the best thing you can do, not only will they get you in the right driver ( 917D2, D3 or even if it is a 915D2 or D3) they will get you in the right shaft as well to match your swing. The right head is only half of the club the shaft has to match you as well.

    I just got my new D2 custom fitted and love it, you can't go wrong with titleist. I came from TM And love the feel of the D2

    I agree with Dale. I have the D3 and I like the ability to shift the weight plus the combination of all of the settings on these drivers. D2 or D3 would work for you provided you got fit with the correct shaft. More importantly, get fit by a certified Titleist expert. That person can connect you with the proper shaft. After all, the shaft is the engine of the club. As everyone has said "GET FITTED"!

    I've always liked the deeper faced drivers (D3) but after my fitting earlier this year. I would pick the D2. The best thing to do is get fit.

    i think you have to look at where your misses are....how is your distance off the tee...a fitter can help you with both. I play a D3; mostly cause i prefer the look of a
    slightly smaller head; plus prefer the acoustics of a Titleist driver.
