I have recently been swapping around putters and I am currently playing the Scotty Cameron California Del Mar! In my opinion its the best putter on the market! Any other good putters out there similar to my own that ye know about?

    Thanks!

Any Scotty will be awesome.  That guy is a true genius when it comes to making flat sticks.  Which Scotty is the best... well, that's a matter of personal preference.

I'm a Newport fan.  I own several and switch them up depending on the greens and weather.  I have a Studio Select 33/360, a Stainless beach 34/350, a Gunblue 34/340, and a TeI3 longneck that I'm not sure on the headweight but it plays to 33 1/2.  I love them all, but have been stuck on the TeI3 longneck since I got it back from the Custom Shop.

If you're a huge fan of the Del Mar I know the limited edition Buttonback Del Mar is dropping soon, or your could always save your lunch money and invest in a Tour Del Mar.  Either way you won't be disappointed.

  3. The Del Mar California is a great putter and I love the finish, I use it as a back up putter over here in the UK for the Winter season. However, I'm a Napa fan and suggest you give one a try, they're simply stunning to look at and although they take a bit of getting used to, will always put a smile on your face everytime you use it.

I have had about 30 Scotty's all of them great. I change them often depending on what fits my eyes at the time. I have been using the Squareback #1 for awhile and think this is the one I will use for awhile(hopefully).

Josh I think you might have some of your numbers mixed up. The Stainless Newport Beach was never made in a 350 head, only 330 and a asian 340. The gun blue Newport was also only a 330 head, except for the 100 33 350s. I love the Del Mars, but can not putt with them. The only one I have is the 2010 SCADO (Scotty Cameron Appreciation Day) one. Great feel but not my style. Right now I am using a Classic SSS Newport II tour.

Georgiat- You might be right.  I've never actually weighed the heads.  I looked on the SC.com archives and couldn't find the headweight just the loft/lie/ length.  I thought most 35'' putters came in a 340.  The Stainless beach feels heavier than the Gunblue, and they are both the same length...  Any who...

I have to agree with Martin- A Napa might be a good option as well.  Both are heel shafted sticks and should work well if you're loving the feel of the Del Mar and looking for some other fun options.
