Anyone know how much it would cost to get my Pro Platinum Newport 2 back to "off-the-rack" status/condition? Also, I would think that this could be done through the Scotty Cameron shop...Any truth or knowledge of this??? Thanks in advance.

    Hi Trey,

Restoration costs $145 through Scotty's Custom Shop.  I have sent in a few putters before and the work they do is amazing.  Your Newport will be looking like new in no time.  It is about a 50 day turn around for restoration, so be prepared with a back up putter while it is gone.  Post some before or after pics if you send it off!!

  3. Hi Trey -

You can send in your Pro Platinum to the Custom Shop for restoration.  The cost typically runs $145.

Before I started using a Scotty Cameron,  I would have read this post and thought people were crazy for paying as much to restore their putter as the average putter costs. Now I understand that there is truly no comparison. I love my Scotty Cameron Studio Select 2.6 and plan to keep it FOREVER! Thanks Titleist for your quality products.

You can restore it as well as put some new stamping on there.  Follow that link!

    Hi Trey,

If you are willing to put up the money for refinishing, it is definitely worth it.  I am a huge Scotty Cameron fan and own a couple, and I am considering sending in my putter to get some stamping.  I think it will be a great thing to do, just make sure you don't have dings or nicks on the face, because these can not be fixed.  Oh, if you would want, you could also get a charcoal mist finish put on it.  The end result will make you really happy.

    Thanks,

    Ben

Sometimes they can buff out areas on the face, just depends.  And that Charcoal mist finish is totally the way to go!

Have fun with it!  It's totally worth it, and you won't recognize your stick when you get it back.  You can do everything from shaft bands, to grips, to headcovers, to paint.  Just to throw it out there...

If you're already paying 145 bucks why not pay 30 or so more and customize it?  I have several Camerons, and I love my Newport TeI3 with the JYD stamp.  Those little touches really make the putter IMO, and your playing partners will be shocked.

I agree - you cannot go wrong by sending your Scotty back "home" for a touch up. I did it this winter and it came back better than expected!  Well worth it!!!!
