Hi Ryan,
I recently purchased a 10.5 910D2 driver and wanted to pick up a fairway wood and hybrid. I was thinking about getting the F 17* and H21*. I noticed the weight ports are located in different positions on the F and Fd. The F and H are located similar postions. Can you please clarify ? Thank you.

Safe to say that, in theory, the Fd will be more forgiving off the tee?
I'm looking purely for off the tee performance and forgiveness. Thanks.

Let's stay theoretical for a minuite. If Fd is better off the tee, is F better off the deck ?
Also, F has a 4 wood option and different weight port positioning. Hmmm.....?
Well they all are very forgiving. ;)
The FD is basically built more like a driver so it will launch lower and spin less producing more of a driver type ball flight. FD's are like baby drivers.

Good point, RC. So let me rephrase:
All things being equal, which is straighter? I would assume the F (launching higher w/ more spin)?
Obviously I would demo. But curious.
Thx.

Equally straight. But the FD probably goes a little lower.
Thanks Ryan. That explaination is very helpful !

The 910F is designed to launch the ball higher than the 910FD, so I would think that if you need more loft to consider the F version. Best of Luck!
Thank u ill will look into it . Go Steelers

the Fd is geared more to hitting it off the tee rather than the deck. when you compare them side by side the 910 Fd's head is larger than the 910 f's. Thus that's why it is a Fairway Driver. but as mentioned earlier anything can be done with the SFT. Anyway you go the whole 910 line is amazing. i have the 910f 15* and love it off the tee or the deck. ball flight is amazing and it flies.

If I were you I would go with the F because it is designed to get the ball up. Today I hit the F and the Fd side by side and I love them both. The F went a lot higher than the Fd off the deck and off the tee. I hit the ball high naturally so I leaned toward the Fd off the tee and off the deck more so I could keep it under more control. Because it flights the ball with a more penetrating ball flight, I get more distance out of the Fd which means that I could keep the driver in the bag more often and hit more fairways with the 3 wood without having huge distances into greens. But if you swing a R flex and don't hit the ball high go with the regular F because the face is shallower which is designed to raise the ball flight. And also try a shaft with a lower kick point and lighter weight. That should help you in your quest to hit the ball higher. Good Luck with your decision Nick.

Fitting is essential...shaft types (standard to exotic), kick-points, torques, tipping, optimum weight-grams, all of these impact distance, shot distribution fields, ball spin rates, in conjunction with your personal swing speed and shot shape & preferred ball flights. All of these elements have linkage in fine tuning the best shaft/face combination for you. But once you take possession, before a round, you can always self-adjust for conditions---.75o loft up/down--to reach higher/lower ball flights. That's the aftermarket beauty of this design by Titleist.
