Team Titleist Nation, need some shaft matching expertise.

Have a new 910D3 AD-DI6S 9.5 driver (smoking it!). Want to upgrade my 3-wood to a 910F 15o...question. Is it best to buy a 910F stock shaft, then change it out to a similar spec AD-DI, OR will one of the standard 910 stock shafts possibly work for me? Is there a preference or science for installing similar shafts in your driver & 3-wood, or is it just a "feel thing"? I currently have a Fujikara Speeder 80G in my vintage 904f. Appreciate the feedback in advance.

It really probably is a feel thing.  I have the same model shaft in my driver and 3 wood.  The only difference is the 3 wood shaft is a little bit heavier which I would recommend.  I am sure that there is a stock shaft that would work for you, however, I also know that if you like the shaft in your driver, you will like the same shaft with a little more weight in your 3 wood

Hi Ron,  Whatever you choose - If you decide to go with a non "stock" option, it would be better (less expensive) to order the 910 F with the shaft than to order the shaft later.

Hi Cathi, and thanks for the response.

Typically 3-wood shafts are a little heavier than drivers (if I'm not mistaken), so what is a "typical" factory recommended spec for the 910F in the AD-DI brand? BTW, I live in TX where it is windy a lot, so I prefer a mid-lower flight. If need be, I can adjust adjust the 15o down .75 to compensate for extreme wind. That's a beautiful thing about the new product!

Do you have the ability to provide me a price & delivery, or do I need to order from my CC?

Again, I appreciate your taking the time to provide me with your expert input!!

We are seeing DI6 players go to DI7 in the fairways (altho some players do like the lightweight 6 and stick with it).  The Fd will go slightly lower so that may be something to try when you get fit.  The MSRP upcharge for the shaft is $200.00 if you order it in the club and  I do show that we have some in house so it will be about a week to ten days to get to you.  You will have to order it through your CC, though.

    Cathi, good morning.

Presently, can a local club repair golf shop change a stock 910F shaft out to an exotic shaft< or is this a factory only function at this juncture?

Good morning!  The 910 metalwoods require the adapter, so we would recommend having it done at our factory to preserve the warranty.

It's a good place to start with the fairway version of your driver shaft.  Doesn't always transfer though.  I think you are better off ordering the shaft directly from Titleist.  Just about every shaft in the world is available...just have to ask.:)

    Ryan-

Thanks for the reply. I am going to search for a fitting in my area (Houston, TX), and go try out some available options, and will will dial it in, then order from the factory...safest bet in the long run.

I always enjoy your insight, expertise and knowledge you share with the Team Titleist Members. Thanks for taking the time and interest to do so.

    Fairways & Greens!
