  1. Tell me if you think you would get it restored or purchase a new one??

Got  a friend who has a scotty for sale at $100. The head has no nicks or dings and is in real nice shape.

The grip needs replaced, the paint on the head needs repainted and the headcover is in terrible condition, shaft label is decent.

Get it!  No question, get it.

You can put your own grip on it for a few bucks and see if you like it.  If not, you can always trade it or re-sell it.  If you like it, you can then decide whether or not to send it back to the master himself for a customization and tune up.

  5. I checked with a local pro shop and they agreed that the cost involved is a little high for the condition described. I counter offered $50.

items needed: new headcover, new grip, new paint job= $125-175. Not sure that makes much sense when you could buy a new one for $300, a nice used one $200-250.

    thanks for the answers
