Chrome Finish vs. Satin Finish

    Why does Titleist produce retail irons with a shinny finish while a lot of sets they produce for PGA Tour pros have satin finishes (Adam Scott, Bill Haas, Rickie Fowler, etc.)?  I would love to have Titleist irons with a satin finish.  To me it would make sense to produce them....

    The satin finished irons that you see are the same chromed irons sold at retail.  We buff the chrome for several of the players because they like the look.

    What do the Tour Techs use to buff down the chrome?

    I'm with you Michael, after using 962's and now 990b's and my wedges are satin finish, I'll never have chromed finish again.
