I'd like to get some launch data, drivers of various lofts(same model just different lofts), swung at a couple speeds, a couple attack angles(ex: sweep 0*, 3* up, 1* down), ball speed, launch angle, back spin rate, flight distance.

Is there a link where such data can be viewed?

    Thanks

I guess the data isn't available. Maybe someone can tell me if what I expect to see is what happens.

    Suppose 8.5 9.5 10.5 swung at 80 90 100

For all heads I would expect 3* up attack angle would produce the most distance at all swing speeds.

The 10.5 would win at the slower swing speed, then at some speed the 9.5 would win then at a faster speed the 8.5 would win.

The 10.5 would win longer with the sweep, and even longer with the down attack angle(it would take higher swing speeds for the 9.5 and 8.5 to overtake the 10.5).

From 8.5 to 9.5 to 10.5 the launch angle would change little(less than 1* each, 8.5 to 10.5 may be less than 1*). The spin rate would change by equation 9.5 spin rate = 8.5 spin rate( 1 + 1/8.5) and 10.5 spin rate = 9.5 spin rate( 1 + 1/9.5).

For each head as the swing speed increases the ball speed increases, spin rate increases, launch angle decreases(slightly).

At all swing speeds the 8.5 would have a higher initial velocity, then 9.5, and slowest 10.5.

And between a rigid face and spring face, the spring face would have a higher initial velocity, higher launch angle, and decreased spin.

Thanks if anyone can confirm or correct.

First off let me start with this. Spin data from a machine is not very usefull to the general consumer to base product purcheses. maybe just for g-wiz info but not very practical. This is why they make launch monitors for fittings.

Second All swings are diffrent. diffrent speed diffrent angles and its not just the speed number its how you load your swing. where you place the ball in your swing. you can have a steep swing angle but if the ball is in a diffrent postition than the test you spin rate is diffrent. I think your to hung up on the numbers and trying to figure it out your self based on out side stats. best thing is GET A FITTING for your self. let them try all the diffrent heads face angles and shafts on you. they will tell you all the stats you want and help you know what stats are best for you. I give john credit for tying to guess at this but i think some people are over doing the spind driver thing it only helps you to know the spin rates that affect your perticular swing. This is why people like RC have a job. they help you to know what fits you best. even if i told you my club head speed face angle lauch angle and spin rate it would do you know good becouse my swing and your swing are completly differnt.

Im not tying to burst your bubble im just tying to bring things back in to perspective for the hightly influenced consumer. dont read numbers read about fitting processes and feed back and get a fitting. Even if its not a Titleist get a fitting. Any PGA pro will tell you this.
