  1. The other day I stopped in Golfsmith with no intent of buying anything until I saw a set of used 670 irons for $107. I was certain this was a typo because the clubs looked to me (I'm no expert) to be in great shape, the club faces didn't show any wear and the only sign of use was tiny scratches in the chrome finish and marks on the shafts which I'm assuming are from putting the clubs into the bag.

So I brought them up to the register and ultimately I got them for only $107. My old irons were probably $100 new from Boscov's when I was in middle school. I've always wanted to upgrade but I'm thinking blades might be too much for my game.

I shoot in the low 90's and break 90 on rare days and two years ago I had a swing speed over 100. I have ten days to return the clubs so I'm hoping I could get someone's opinion who knows more than I do. Right now I'm thinking the price is too good to beat and I just need to suck it up and practice and learn to hit them.

I played a set of 670 irons in the early 2000s.  Maybe these are mine?  ;)

I think if you find a right lie and loft combo and a shaft that feels good, you'll enjoy them.  You may need to bend them or reshaft.

They may not be as forgiving, but it's a reward when you smoke one.  The feedback will be sweet.

Forgot to ask, what type of shaft is in there right now? If they are satin Project Xs 6.0, those shafts alone are probably worth $200-300 on ebay!  Might have to take them off your hands!  The satin Project X shafts are very popular.

  4. Nah, the shafts are dynamic gold sensicore s300. I took them to the range yesterday and although I shanked a few when I hit it good man did it fly.

  5. I owned a set of 670's and loved them. The best way to determine which kind of club (blades, CB's, etc.) that's best for your game is to visit an authorized Titleist fitter.

100 bucks for a set of fine sticks is a bargain.  Worse comes to worse you will get your money back if you sell them.

I still have my set of 670's.  Great shape and design.  I think they designed this model for a big guy with the initials E.E.
