I've done a ton of blasting and surface comparison on blasted surfaces working at Kennedy Space Center for 25 years refurbishing the Solid Rocket Boosters. Some blasting was used to remove finishes, some were to lay in anchor patterns for applications. Most forged irons now have their face aluminum oxide blasted in the hitting area. I need to reblast a few irons and need to know the grit size to use for this. Since the chroming process is usually patented, it may be difficult to find this info from Titleist. But I want to touch up blast my 695mb's before I sell them. Anybody have any idea what the aluminum oxide grit size is used for this?
