    Hi Titleist,

I have a question about the optional weight kit on the 910 series. I know the emphasis is on the adjustable hosel of the new series and its awesome to have that system on such a quality head, but nothing is ever said about the weight plug in the sole of the club. Can u buy weight kits for the 910 range? If so, at what cost? I know that 7 gram weights come standard, but changing that between 2 and 12 grams can make a huge change in swingweight, launch angle etc and potentially more distance and feel.

Any info or help is greatly appreciated. Cheers, John.

    John,

The interchangable weight screw will not have much of an effect on launch angle and distance to the contrary. Really the only benefit of a heavier or lighter weight screw will be feel for the player.  I have discussed this with some of the staff at Acushnet Co. and through their extensive testing of the 910 drivers they found minimal ball flight changes when changing the weight screw to different gram weights.  So if your looking for a different feel of the head you may want to try a different gram weight screw but don't expect much difference in ball flight.

They are, its an optional accessory. To me it seems a very handy idea, like a TP version of the r7 series, it comes with all different weighted screws so you can change whenever you want. I just want to see how much of an affect it has in a quality club such as the 910 series.

    Hi Gator,

I have a 910 D2 8.5 with the Rip 60 Stiff shaft. Can you tell what the swingweights will be if I swtich to a 9 gram and 12 gram weights?

    Thanks,

    Jonathan

The rule of thumb is that 3g in the head will be one extra swing weight point, so the switch should give you 1 swing weight point increase.

Hi Gator, I just purchased the Tour AD DJ6 SR for my D2 driver and was wondering what would be the ideal sole weight for a light/high launch driver like this one?
