A couple of years ago, I changed from the my Titleist 704 CB to a the Titleist 660 (blades).   Its was a very hard change, but certainly worth it.  I now enjoy the playability and trajectory of blades.  I have to change my swing somewhat, but still worth it.

Zack I made the switch to blades a few years back and I have to say that I love them. The look and feel of a blade is like no other club made and the clean classic line inspire confidence as I step over the ball. I will say that just about every spring when I put away the skis and pull out the clubs I am giving away strokes to my buddies. But that soon passes and I am reminded why I purchased them in the first place, to take my game to the next level. And they did. If you are willing to put in the time, MB's will reward you.

I have the 695 and 710 MB's.  I have to say that after playing some CB models, that I prefer the power and control from a Titleist MB iron.   I also like the thinner sole, less club to move through the dirt, and much crisper shot making.  If you are a ten handicap or less its MB.  If you are 10-20 maybe you need the forgiveness of the CB.  Its all about your game and what you want in look and feel.  There's nothing better than hitting a perfect shot with a MB iron.  You know when you have hit a perfect shot.

I'm playing a mixed set of 710 CB (4-6) and MB (7-9) and a 46* bent to 47* Vokey 246. The difference between the CB and MB topline is so minimal that you'd hardly tell the difference. The biggest difference for me was ball speed. During my fitting, my ball speed was much more consistent with the CB than the MB. They both feel fantastic, and I feel way more comfortable knowing that I'm going into a long par 3 with a slight cavity back than a blade. Conversely, I love having the MB to attack the pins from shorter distances. Either way, the CB and MB are for better players and you should play whichever one helps you play your best golf.

What is your handicap?  If it is +3 or less you will benefit more from CBs than any perceived "feel" difference in MBs.  But the game is all about fun so if you'd rather hit 3 good MB shots a round that feel spectacular and 14 not-so-good mb shots rather than 10 good CB shots 6 ok CB shots but miss that "spectacular feel", then go for it.  it's all about what you enjoy.  your score will almost certainly be lower with the CBs.

    Play the ones you enjoy.

  8. Before you get the cb or mb remember that the new 712 irons will come out in november.

I would only worry about that if you disliked the 710's chrome finish right now.

    Deal with fitting first.

CBs, they fly in general, a little higher than MBs and the sole has a little different profile.

It all depends on your swing. Iron fitting is almost impossible to do on the internet.
