I'm looking for opinions on the Hybrid 5 bag compared to the Players 4. I currently use the P4 and I have very few complaints, but I carry 14 clubs and the fit is a little tight. I'm wondering if the Hybrid 5 would alleviate this issue. I'm not a fan of the 14 way bags, so that's not under consideration. I try to carry as often as possible, so I'm also hoping the increase in weight feels minimal.

    Thanks for any suugestions!

  2. It is a larger bag so should assist. I have larger grips on my clubs so the Players 4 can be tough to get clubs in and out occasionally. You can never have enough bags....

Thanks! Definitely no such thing as too many bags.

I have the Hybrid 5. Before buying I compared to the Players 4 and even the linkslegend series. I moved from an old staff bag to this for mostly using on a pushcart.

I did notice a size difference between all three and for someone who carries 14 clubs plus sticks the 5 was a better fit. If I was using a reduced set maybe one of the other bags, but I can't stand any club tangle. I know I get a little in every bag but so far, the Hybrid 5 has been wonderful.

Plenty of room as well for other things.

I have both. I liked the Players 4, which ultimately I gave to my son. I use midsize grips and it was very snug and it doesn't help that I use Winn DriTac grips which love to stick to one another when in close proximity.

The hybrid 5 works much better for me, for what it's worth. I struggle less with crowding and the clubs getting stuck on one another.

Have both the Hybrid 5 and Players 4 bags. Use them both on rotation with different purposes.

Hybrid 5 for the longer days and unpredictable weather days. More storage for everything.

Players 4 for range sessions and quick 9s where I carry less than a full compliment of clubs. Usually drop the long irons in this case to lighten the load overall.

This has been helpful to read. What about the Players 5 vs. Players 4? Any size difference there?

Have not seen or picked up the Players 5 in hand.

I’m going to suspect that the top cuff (drivers, woods, hybrid, for most) will be a little bigger than the Players 4.

The old Players 5 (which became the Hybrid 5) was wider around the bottom/belly side because of the extra divider it needed. This caused the entire circumference to be bigger.

I would check out a Players 4 Plus from the previous line up, if possible, as I believe that is the most similar before the new Players 5 hits shelves.

Should give you slightly more room!
  10. I have a Players 4 as well and love the bag. I had the older titleist Carry bag pre- Hybrid 14 and 5 series and it was my favorite ever, but I wore out the top cuff. I'm interested in hearing more about the 5 as well, as the only thing I dont like about my P4 is that I have trouble getting a good adjustment on the strap.
