  1. Hey Everyone! This is Jerry and I just got into golf a few months ago and I have really been working on my swing. I have not played on a golf course yet, been really working hard on fixing my swing daily in a simulator. I have been hitting with the Titleist T100 7 iron and the Pro V1 ball and have been really liking it. My backswing has already gotten really good, I am just working on more rotation and the final sections of my swing. I heard that it is not a good idea to get a T100. I am looking to purchase my first golf set and I am just wondering how I should appraoch getting my first golf set, preferably titleist hahaha and when I should get fitted or if i Should get sized instead.

    Thank you!

Sounds like you're on the right track. If your serious about the game, the time to get fit is now. Make sure it's a qualified fitter and not somebody who is just trying to make a quick sale. If you want to wait a bit for a fitting, I suggest getting advice from an instructor on what you should get to aid in developing your swing, and pick up a newer set of used clubs that meet that criteria.
    Good luck with the game.

First, I would get checked out by a PGA Teaching Professional before going out on the course. Being in a simulator and being outdoors are 2 different things. A professional will guide you in the right direction.

Seek out an established teacher....ask your friends who they would recommend.
Take Lessons to get the basics of your stance, grip and swing down...VERY IMPORTANT

At some point....your teacher should be able to recommend a fitter for your clubs.
    Good Luck!!

what do you shoot? I would prob look at used Titleist clubs to start as any fitting won't help if you are acratic with your swing

Welcome to the game! I think you could benefit from going to a golf store where you could try out different iron sets and see what you like best. T100 are great, no doubt about it! Being new to the game you might like some of the other options available!
