Hole #7 at Emerald Lake was playing at 200 yards on the flag. I chose 4 iron and was hoping to just land middle of the green for a routine 2 putt. There was a light breeze blowing from right to left so I was thinking to myself to play it right of the hole and let it come back in with a little draw. I swung and made clean contact and knew from the feel that it was a good shot and as I looked up the ball was tracking right to the hole with a little draw bringing it right back in. As the ball hit about 10 feet or so from the pin I glanced at my friends to say how satisfied I was with the shot and as I looked away they erupted. "It went in, it went in!" So yes, I didn't even see my own ball actually disappear into the hole. Next thing I know I'm being bear hugged by two of my friends while the third takes of sprinting to the green. The moment was surreal and I still can't believe it really happened. If I'm ever so lucky to have a chance to do it again, I will keep my eyes glued to the ball until it drops in the hole.
