Finally after 30 years of playing this game, I had my first hole in one this morning. I wasn't going to play today because the conditions aren't great. 15-20mph NNW winds and 50*, but I said screw it, it's the last weekend of the year and I will regret it if I don't get out one more time. First par 3 of the day, 8 iron from 138, wind into and a little hurting, yellow AVX headed right over the flag and I'm thinking not bad and should be tight. I knew it was close but wasn't 100% sure. As I started walking I couldn't see my ball and thought no way that is in. Well much to my surprise there it sat at the bottom of the cup. The ball landed about 6' beyond the hole and spun right back and in. What a day!

Awesome shot. After thirty years, what a pleasant surprise!! Some golfers go their entire lifetime and never have one. Some say it is luck, but I define luck as preparation meeting opportunity. Hope you registered for one of the awesome Titleist HIO bag tags. A really nice badge of honor and conversation piece. There is room in your bag for another HIO. Good luck and congratulations.

Thanks guys for the kind words. It was definitely an exciting moment but also a sigh of relief as I was starting to think it would never happen!
