  1. Hello, My name is Julian Rosado I’m 46 years old and I work for Jet Blue as a supervisor and I also am a Crossfit trainer. My father in-law just picked up the game again after a fifteen year break and asked me if I was interested in picking up and learning the game of golf and coming with him and my brother in-law golfing. I didn’t hesitated and said “yes”. So our first stop was getting some clubs for me to use so we went to a local golf shop that sells used clubs and he purchased me a set of clubs and a bag to start me off. We went to the driving range next day for some practice and within two days we were on a course for my first round. Hitting close to 40 over didn’t get me down as I’m determined to “Master” the game. Within the first week or so I had two rounds and three outings to the local range for sometimes what felt like self inflicted abuse from a stick and ball. My father in-law, Tom, called me and wanted to go out on one of my days off during the week and I jumped at the chance, his uncle was coming to join and he shoots about a twelve handicap and he is a good person to learn from so I was ready. We ended up at an executive par three which Tom thought would be good for me to concentrate on my irons. Well coming to the 4th tee box I hit first, I was hitting a pro v1 with a 9 iron on a 130 yd/3. I hit the ball and it went down the fairway, not the best 9 I’ve ever hit but it was straight. The hole was hidden by a bunker on the right and it dipped down so we couldn’t really see it, uncle Joe hit second and he was on green to the left as that side was visible then Tom hit and he miss hit it and thought he went over. We walk up to green and Joe’s on with his putter in hand, Tom walked around the back side off the cart as he thought he was off the back and I walked up onto green to Joe saying “one of you is on with me”. As Tom is asking where he went Joe walked up to the cup and asked “who’s hitting Titleist 1” Tom and I both say “I am” and Tom asked “Hey Joe does it have a blue T on it” (Tom marks his w a blue marker T) At that moment I leaned down and said “Tom, this is you right here”. Well needless to say I had Joe laughing on one side of me and Tom shaking his head in disbelief on the other side of me. I said out loud are u kidding me and as I walked over and picked it out of the cup we all came together for hugs and hand shakes. To say I was happy is and understatement and I didn’t realize till about 36 hours later after returning from work how big of a deal it really is. I know I’m new to the sport so I won’t use the word “achievement” but I’ll tell you what, I still think the smile on my face was as big if not bigger than the next person. I now know why Joe was laughing at first and it’s because he has a medallion from Titleist from 10 tears ago on his only hole in one and he was thinking how Tom is now the only one in the group w/o one, that ribbing did last for the next 14 holes. Best Regards, Julian Rosado
