I wasn't playing too well being 3 over after the first 3 holes. On the 4th hole, a 201 yrd par 3, I was just thinking about making good contact to hit the green. I hit a 6 iron and made good contact indeed. The ball hopped once before the green and 1 or 2 small bounces on the green and disappeared near the hole. I was reasonably confident that the ball went in the hole! Being a longer yardage hole, I wasn't 100% until we drove closer to the hole and sure enough, my first hole in one! What a terrific feeling, and glad to share the moment with a golf buddy whom I golf plenty with.
