I had played golf for the last thirty year but always a weekend golfer until the last 10 years that I started taking it more seriously. I have never made a hole on one until today. It occurred at hole number 3 at Lakewood country club in Lakewood California. It was a 136 yards par three over water from the tee box. I hit my 8 iron firm with a little draw to it. The ball landed about 15 feet to the right of the hole and started to trickle down the side hill towards the hole. As it got closer to hole the speed gradually decreased until it finally stopped by the flag. I could still see the ball from the tee box. I couldn’t believe it went into the hole until we drove up to the green. The ball was leaning against the flag. It was unbelievable.
