My firs hole in one happened on June 21st, 2024 - Father's Day. 6th hole at Hunter Golf Club in Meriden, CT. A 9 iron from 161 yards landed in the center of the green, took one big bounce and rolled gently into the hole. My playing partners were ecstatic but I was too overcome with emotion/shock/sadness to fully react.

As I retrieved my ProV1 #5 from the hole I shared with them that not only was it my first ace, it was my first Father's Day without my Dad. He died from cancer in October 2023. I'm not much of a believer in help from above, but I still can't rationalize such a huge coincidence any other way. Maybe the Old Man was able to help guide the ball into the hole, maybe not, but I hope he saw it, and I hope he was proud.
