  1. So, it's early on a Saturday morning and the sun has not yet risen high in the sky. When we come to the par 3 4th at The Golf Club at Creekmoor, the pin is actually shaded by shadows from the trees east of the green. I knew I had hit my tee shot well, but it disappeared into the shadows. These old eyes could not follow it once it did. After the second player tees off and hits the green as well, I use my range finder to look for our balls. I see two white spots well short of the hole which was disappointing as I thought I had hit my shot better than that. When we get to the green, another member in the group tells me I should walk past the hole. I wonder why and then realize one of the white spots I had seen from the tee box was actually the previous groups proxy marker. I thought no, it couldn't be in the hole, but I didn't see a ball that would have run past the hole and off the green. Sure enough, there was my Titleist Pro V1x in the hole. No matter that I didn't see it disappear, I'll take it.
