  1. Me and a buddy were out of town working and found the Dandridge Golf & Country Club. We had been playing 9 every evening after work. The last day before we left we decided we could get 18 in. So here we are, the course starts us on the back 9 and it is clearly a nonchalant round of golf after work from the get go. But nonetheless we were having a great time. As the sun was beginning to set we found ourselves on the front 9 heading back in to the clubhouse. Hole 6, this slightly elevated 140-160 yard par 3 had whooped my butt all week. I pinged the flag with my rangefinder, 148 on the front half of the green, so I grabbed my 9 iron. As we approach the tee box my buddy steps off the back to take a leak, I told him that he better hurry up or he’s going to miss this hole in one. A few seconds later I made the most pure contact I’ve ever made in my life, one of those that feels like it’s going in the hole right off the club face. As the ball flies straight as an arrow it lands about 35 feet directly behind the pin, right at the top of the slope. The greens were soft as it had rained the night before, so the divot was a good one. The ball backspins out of the divot coming down the slope. At this time my buddy is back up on the tee box watching the ball roll down with me. I begin to utter the words “ope, ope, ope!!” The ball dropped in and the non existent crowd went wild! My buddy just dropped his head, shook it, and then looked up and called me a few choice words before congratulating me. As we approach the green with no ball in sight it all began to sink in, he began to film as I ran up and sure enough confirmed the ace with the words ProV1 staring back at me. Again the non existent crowd absolutely lost it. We celebrated and moved on to finish out what for me, was the greatest round of my life….so far. Cheers!
