It was my hard work and discipline throughout my recovery journey, top it up with gratitude and luck to arrive at my hole-in-one.
Described by one of my foursomes:
"We had just met Mel and had played two holes with her. It was clear she was a dedicated player and had a radiant energy about her. When she hit her tee shot on the par 3 third hole at the Waverly Oak Golf Course, I said "that's going in." The green has a front bunker protecting it and a mound that tiers the green into an upper and lower half. Mel hit a perfect draw over that mound, it hit the tier on the green, kicked left toward the hole, hit the flag, and went in. It was electric!"
