My wife wanted me to come golfing with her and her son and his wife at a local course. I had hand surgery 4 months prior and was still struggling with grip strength and didn't think I could golf. The first nine holes I played with a Japanese ball my wife discovered because she thought they were "cool". After 9 holes I was done with them and went back to my tried and true Titleist ProV1 balls.
Hole 15 is a 155 yard par 3 that I would normally have used an iron on. Because of my hand surgery I used my png 7 wood. I knew as soon as I hit it I was going to me on the green. I was surprised when I looked up and didn't see it anywhere. My wife and step son were all excited saying it went in the hole. I didn't believe them and figured I sliced it into the woods. We get up to the hole and their is my Titleist Pro V1 in the hole. I think I was was in shock at first. This was my first Hole-In-One and unfortunately the course where I got it doesn't do anything to recognize hole-in-ones. My wife texted one of the guys on my golf league, as it turned out they were on there way back from a different course and driving by. They stopped and I bought them a beer and did buy the entire bar a round as well.
