  1. At Sharp Park, an Alister MacKenzie muni by the ocean that I play often. Hole number 5, Par 3 at 160 yards, playing 170 yards uphill. I chose the 7 iron which plays the exact number for me. Swung easy with a tight draw that landed less than a foot past the hole and rolled back into the cup. Didn’t see it go in, but the players a hole ahead let us know in excitement. My friends and I ran up to confirm it and was one of the greatest moments of my life!

Congratulations on your achievement. Too bad you did not see it, but you did have witnesses. A muni, the core of golf. I love old school golf, most built in the twenties. I enjoy playing them. Play on one three days a week, #19 rated in the U.S. by Golf.com, right behind Torrey Pines. Seth Raynor style and one tough redesign. Enjoy your accomplishment and hope you signed up for your free Titleist HIO bag tag. Bragging rights. Could be another right around the corner or over a hill.
