  1. I recently received my new, custom fitted SM10 wedges. I had all the lofts adjusted to accommodate my gapping, and worked with them for a few weeks to dial in my numbers, and found my 55° stock yardage is 126yds.

I was invited the night before to join a good friend at a charity outing since the fourth dropped out, and who’s going to say no to a day of golf.

The following day, we got to the 11th hole and shot the number at 138yds. It was breezy and we were hitting straight down wind to a front right pin location. There was about 7 yards between the front of the green and the pin, which sat at the bottom of the slope between the green’s two tiers. All things considered, it was a perfect 125yd shot. With the green sloping right to left, I chose my exact landing spot about four feet right of the stick, knowing the spin from my new wedges would either stop the ball there, or rip it back if it hopped onto the slope.

I hit the shot perfectly on line and it didn’t move an inch. The ball landed on my target, took one hop onto the backstop slope, spun back and dropped in the hole. One of my partners was so excited, Usain Bolt couldn’t have beaten him to the green. I caught up to him eventually, where we screamed and celebrated once we realized it happened.

In all the madness, my partners forgot to photograph me with the flagstick and my ball. However, since this was a “Closest to the Pin” hole for the outing, my partner made sure everyone knew who won when he wrote down my name (picture attached).
