Was playing with my usual group in the Bay Area at Monarch Bay Golf Club on the Tony Lema course. We've been playing together for a couple years now and this crew is always great to be around. Round wasn't starting off great and was playing a little slow being the weekend, but we were still having fun.
When we get to the 7th hole I scoped it on my app and to the center of the green was 150 and to the back was 168. It was a back pin that day and the wind was in our face so I guessed that it would play closer to 170.
After grabbing my TM M2 6-iron, I step up to the white tees and let it fly. We all agree that it looks like a good shot and after some customary, "that'll be right next to the hole" and "what a shot" comments the ball takes a bounce short of the hole then proceeded to hop right in on the 2nd. I was probably the most surprised and immediately sprinted to the hole and sure enough it was sitting pretty up against the pin nestled in the cup. Going to be dreaming about that shot for the next decade now.
I'm the one with the pineapple bucket hat.
