I was on a golf trip in Arizona for 3 days of golf with 2 friends. We were playing 36 the first two days and only 18 on the last day. The second round on Day 2 we were in danger of not finishing. We were at Ak-Chin. When i looked at the scorecard on the 14th hole i noticed that my friend was on track to make a PB. Coming in on 18 he needed a par to put up his best score ever. The sun had just set and we could barely see what was happening. He didnt know where his score was at that point and said "just mark it down as bogey since we cant finish". I had to tell him his score so i did and he proceeded to play the hole. I play yellow Pro V1s so i gave him one to help with the visibility. It was almost pitch black but he played the hole. He hit a smooth drive and then a hybrid to the left of the green. At this point we were all on the green trying to watch his chip. He put it to 4 feet and sunk the putt! We were all yelling and cheering as the people on the deck were wondering what happened in the dark. As we sat for drinks afterward he said "we should add in another round for the morning tomorrow". We booked the Western Skies Golf Club in Gilbert Arizona for 7AM. We got to the course and didnt take any practice swings or putts. We were paired with a single and started our round. I was striking my irons pretty well but feeling the fact that we had played 36 holes two days in a row. We get to the seventh hole which is a nice looking par 3. There are bunkers right and left of the green. I was last to shoot. I had a nice easy 7 iron swing and the strike was pure. I thought i had hit it too hard initially. It landed 10 feet short and started to roll to the right toward the hole. I started walking towards my friends. My friend said "oh go in".... and we all saw it drop in the hole. All of our clubs went into the air. There was jumping and hugging. The group on the green behind us had their hands in the air and were screaming! I lost like 10 seconds. It was the most amazing feeling. We got in the carts and rode up there and I ran up to the pin. Sure enough it was in the hole. I have been playing for 30+ years and have hit many pins, and now... finally I have made a hole in one! I was so adrenaline filled i went bogey bogey on the next holes. Finished with a 79. I went in to the pro shop and they gave me a hat and took my picture. They were super excited and it made it more fun. It was an amazing golf trip. A PB for my friend and the Hole in one for me made it epic. I still cant believe it!
