Whatever works, do it. As long as it is legal. Hardest bunker shot in golf and he makes it look easy. Skill, not salty luck.

Funny. I knew after that interview people would comment, and hopefully not overreact to it. first, his mark can only be lined up when he has hands on, so basically just his tee shot. Not sure he uses the alignment line or this mark on putts. I bet someone could switch out the balls in his bag with some that were randomly marked and his driving and putting performance would be no different. More of a psychological thing for how detail oriented he is. I know the old wound balls would benefit from this but current technology and Titleist quality control deem this unnecessary as proven by the 99.99% of golfers who do not do it.

Agreed Dale! Psychological and keeping his 'Mad Scientist' image intact.

I haven't been to Ball Plant #3, only read TT members reviews and utter amazement at how much technology and QC go into each part of the process before balls go to consumers.

Now as a ProV1 Left Dash player, I'm guessing Bryson doesn't really do this as much as he did before with lower quality golf balls - like Bridgestone.
  6. ha ha. Not I :-)
