It's a trek, but if I were you I'd consider going all the way to Bellevue to Club Champion and getting fit for a putter there. It'll cost more (travel + fitting), but they'll have all the Scotty's available and get you not only into the proper Scotty, but also the proper swing weights.

I live about an hour from Pinehurst, luckily they are a Cameron Showcase Partner, meaning they have all current styles available (same with CDA near you). I had an hour long fitting session, started with charting my putting stroke on the monitor just to see where I was at. My eye prefers a blade, so we started with a Newport 2. Based on my toe flow, the ideal fit was somewhere between a blade and a mallet, so we tried the Squareback next, ended up being the model I like the best.
After deciding that, ran some more measurement putts to dial in the lie angle and loft, it was overall pretty easy to get it figured out. The pro I worked with also helped with some minor setup tweaks to get my stroke more squared up, so I basically got a putting lesson built in too.

It's also critical to have a putter you like looking at, so we didn't even try any of the mallet styles since it just doesn't fit my eye, it's just as much about liking what you see as it is having the numbers on the monitor look good.

I would make the trip to CDA since they are a Showcase Partner, it was well worth it for me to take an afternoon to go to Pinehurst even though it was 60+ miles away. The monitor they had was in their indoor facility, but we made sure to go out and roll a bunch of putts on a real green to make sure I was happy with the Squareback after we were done with the monitor.

Thanks Jeff that was helpful. I just now have to find a bit of time to do it. All the clubs in my bag are fitted except for my putter. Which, is kinda odd since I use it the most. I will keep you all posted.

There are a variety of ways to be fitted professionally for Scotty Cameron putters. One the avenues is the Gallery in Tokyo or Encinitas, California. The advantage they have over most other locations is the focus on just putting and secondly the high speed video which shows exactly how your ball is acting relative to your stroke and equipment settings. I have done this at Encinitas three or four times now over the years and also checked out the Tokyo location; they are fantastic needless to say. They also let you putt with putters that are CT Models (Made for tour) which at other locations you just get to putt with OTR (standard line putters).

At the end of the day, no matter where you go the bottomline is that you get fit by a golf professional! You will not regret it!

Make the investment in our game and head to Encinitas. Joey is the most seasoned fitter there and knows his craft. There's no hard-sell to buy a new putter, just useful information for your game.

Would you say to go to the Gallery even over the Showcase Partners?

You also are going to TPI. If you can't schedule both, I'd take TPI. If you've got the time and can afford the 2 best "spa" treatments in golf, then go for it.

I’m also left handed, would the CSP’s have less left hands avail you think? When i talked to the guy at TPI, he did say you can do both fittings in the same day.

Oooh between TPI and the Gallery for fittings - such a tough call. Both a fantastic experiences and highly recommended. If you can - do both - you will not regret it. If not, maybe it comes down to which area of your game needs tweaking the most. You will not be disappointed with either.

So, still haven't set it up. I don't think I really need to do a TPI set up thats a bit out of my tax bracket. I kind of know what I want. Sadly they don't have any serious fittings around me.

Does it cost anything for the fitting in Encinitas if we end up buying a putter?

You pay for the fitting and thats it.. Now if you want a putter, obviously you'll pay for it and anything else inside the gallery. That said if you're a collector, get the early fitting and they'll let you in before the line starts and you'll get a first gander of swag inside.
